One more thing is it possible to purchase an LED that is very bright and plugs into receiver.

Plugs into your receiver? Your rx only runs 3.3 or 5 volts and shouldn't be plugged into anything else. Do you mean flight controller? Most flight controllers allow you to solder then on and program from the software.
