hi all , finally got quad flying , some crashes but no major damage, changed props and was good again.

RMRC zmr250 frame
naze32 Rev6 / Betaflight
Turnigy 4s 1300mah 45c
Spedix 30A Hv ESC
Emax 2205s 2300kv motors
Dal 5040 V2 props

Before:
Power was bit rough and i could also see props stop suddenly at min throttle . I somewhat got it to improve by adjusting minimum throttle when armed. (when armed props now start to spin up very slowly).

Next i installed BLHeli suite and found esc's 3 & 4 weren't in sync with master. Updating firmware solved this and i then continued with motor calibration via BLHeli suite .

Post flight:
Quad now feels super smooth at any throttle % BUT my battery life has reduced from 8 mins to about 4-5 per pack .

Any suggestions on where i went wrong with setup ? Would like to improve this before adding FPV parts

Kris,

Your battery time will be reduced significantly depending on how you're flying. If you're doing a lot of punchouts and aggressive flying, 4-5min wouldn't be abnormal. 8min is a pretty long flight time, you'd have to be crawling to get that.

you need a higher c rated battery with those esc's and motors, youre still gonna have shorter flights tho because of the increased draw of the combo. i'd suggest at least a 75c battery, go with 1500-1800 mah for a little more flight time at the cost of extra weight
your quad is set up properly now and 4-5 mins is a great flight time for that setup
edit:
im running 100c with the same setup
