I have only used FPV Freerider, perhaps not the best, but it's free and I got it running on my tablet and pc. It has certainly improved my overrall real life flying, particularly in Acro mode.

Not much use to save the Trashcan FC, but I've had great success with Silicone Conformal Coating when it comes to Waterproofing electronics. It's cheap and very effective - I've coated all of my quads now, along with some other miscellaneous electronics. Highly recommended!
