So I was out flying around like normal after upgrading to betaflight 3.5 and at a normal cruising speed my drone falls out of the air. I loose video and Ian like what the crap happened. So Ian walking over to get my drone, and I smell a burning smell the closer I get. I finally see the drone and notice the XT60 and the wire that was suppose to be connected to my pads on the fc, was totally loose and still connected to the battery. So I bring it back to the bench and notice that there is solder all over the back end of my quad, and noticed the stream started at the connection of the XT60 solder joints. It desoldered mid flight and burned my FC!
Anyone experience anything like this? Weird phenomenon???

Sounds like the bec went bad causing a direct short and enough heat to un-solder your lipo leads. If you supply the fc with 5v to the power rail it may still work

dayam... that got hot fast. definitely a short. id suspect the pdb too. did the flight controller get hot too?

The fc is a DYS aio, so the pbd is built in. It did burn out some components but I replaced it with they yupi f7.
