First drone build. Brought a Tyro99 and a mate gave me a Flysky FS6x.
Build the drone up, soldered the FS-X6b receiver in place and just can't get Betaflight seeing the receiver.
I have wired the receiver signal wire (yellow) to the PPM tab on the flight controller and bridge the two pads at the top. Binding is fine.
Accelerometer etc works. Changed the input to Serial and IBUS, Nothing.
Interesting, If I change the plug on the receiver to PPM and in betaflight change the receiver to PPM it works. What am I missing?
Should switching to PPM be that simple?

About to solder the signal wire to RX5 as part of random testing. Update, This didn't work either. No PPM or IBUS
I was told IBUS is better than PPM, should I just accept PPM and go fly?
