Tyro 99 ibus setup!!!

I have a tyro 99 I am currently using a bulky fs-ia6b receiver and a fly sky fs-i6x transmitter. I am trying to hook up ibus. I bridged the middle pad and ibus pad together and soldered the yellow wire from receiver to ppm on under side of flight controller. I plug it in to beta flight and I get nothing on the receiver tab. I can move the sticks and nothing happens. I have my trans and receiver bound together my i6x is setup up to ibus

Welcome to the forum @Newbie419, have you set the TX to iBus? Maybe this video will help.

Yes I’ve tried that . It works in ppm .. if I set it up to ibus I get no controls in beta flight

I am not a Flysky user so I am a little out of my league with their stuff, but it seems that the PPM input and the Serial Protocol input (like iBus or SBus) would be on different UART's possibly. Do you have a screen shot of the Ports tab and Config tab Receiver section so I can see how you are configured? Also can you post the exact FC the Tyro99 uses so I can check to see where iBus should be connected?
