Trouble with Redcon satellite & binding

Hey, I purchased a redcon DSMX satellite & receiver(CM703) & I am having trouble binding it, the receiver binds but I don’t think the satellite is as the light is flashing slowly when the receivers light goes solid. I am using a DX6 & it’s saying bind successful, but is it really? I know the receiver is bound but I want to use the satellite in my drone & it just doesn’t seem right.

I know nothing about Spektrum technology, but if your radio says bind successful, my guess is that the status will change when you've actually connected your receiver to a flight controller?
