Ok, I definitely don't need a new build but sometimes I just can't help it. I am considering one of these two build types

A 5" ultralight such as:

Mode 2 Ghost
Floss 2
Catalyst Machineworks 'merica (with ultralight motors)

OR

A new ultralight 2.5" or 3" 110x based quad like:

Pocket Quads Lightspeed
Spintech Race-1
Tomoquads mach 3

Decisions, decisions...

I'm curious what kind of performance can be had from a 5" Floss lightweight build with low kv 1407 motors (I think Brother Hobbies makes some in the 2700-2800 kv range?)

They do, 1407-2722kv branded PyroDrone hyperlite. Hyperlite 1407-2722 Race Series Perfect Floss Motor

I was considering those or the 2204-2522kv. HyperLite 2207-2522 Team Edition Naked Bottom

Edit: Oops, wrong link. I was considering the 20g 2204-2522kv, not 2207. :Edit

I dont know if you can find the arms with the right bolt pattern for the 1407 anymore?

Hmm, it is hard to find info on it, but the arms on the tooth fairy look slotted so maybe it will fit 1407's on the stock frame. The custom part may be the TPU FC mount?

I am sort of leaning towards a tooth fairy over a floss 2.

I'd go with 5". I hate micros (Ok hate is a strong word - how bout 'don't like'). I have a minibigger 255mm which looks like an ultralight which I am currently building. I tried to use spare parts from an old drone which never worked right, but it's getting worse so I ordered a whole bunch of new parts to revamp it. I'm curious to see how this sucker flies cause it looks like it's gonna cut wind very easily. Very tight squeeze for onboard components though (keeping em away from those malicious props is the whole trick!).

5" is over hyped. You just don't know what a good micro is. I am not going to be the one to convince you, but you will eventually learn.

:D
Haha. It's just that I find 5" just right to work on. Just the right amount of space to stuff components in. And if I need to troubleshoot problems, I don't have to go using a jeweler's loop yo try and pinpoint it. My eyes are getting bad enough as it is.

So it looks like the build will be a 5" Merica built for 6S. I am not 100% on the frame because I want to put a Runcam Split of some kind on the build and i don't know if I can fit it in a Merica. But anyways right now I am trying to decide on what 6S motors to use. Any thoughts?

T-motor F40 PRO II 1600KV 2400KV 2600KV 3-4S Brushless Motor for RC Multirotor FPV Racing Drone

The other options seem to be out of stock everywhere, what do you guys think?
