Suggestions on fs ia6b antennae mounting

hi folks, simply question. My receiver looks like the following:

On the antenna wires it appears to have heatshrink protecting something that's partially covering each wire. I'd like to run these antennae along zip ties and heatshrink them together to keep them away from the motors. Can I heatshrink over the existing wrapping or will that kill reception from the transmitter?

You can heat shrink them no problem but they work best separated and at a 45deg angle from each other

Ok good to know, when I said together I meant heat shrinking each antenna and zip tie together, I plan to do the 45 degree angle thing.
