I've been charging my batteries on our granite countertops since I got into this hobby. The more I read and learn about these batteries the more concerned I've been getting. I've also been acquiring a lot more batteries so since it's winter here again I decided to put together a little Lipo charging station.

It's nothing special at all but I found the materials laying around here, it's portable and it's a little safer. I have a concrete storm shelter under our garage. I'll set it down there so if something does go wrong there won't be anything to burn. While I'm flying, I'll take it out to the driveway so I can charge and fly!

Your settup looks great. I might be taking your idea for myself.

Thanks

What charger are you using and does it charge more then one at a time? Looking for a good solution to charge four batteries at once. Does it balance them as well?

B6 is a good charger, I have one. You can charge 6 1300mAh packs but at 50W the charge rate is less than 0.5C. I can charge 5 1300mAh packs at 1C (or 6 packs a bit under) on the 100W EV-Peak A1 I recently got but it costs more. $70 at getFPV.

Very cool and thanks for the links. Seems like an interesting setup. Will have to look into it. Doing it one battery at a time is getting a bit slow now.
