Yay after a few hours tinkering around with it I figured it out. I would do ESC calibration on oneshot125 then set to dshot600 and was forgetting to hit save and reboot after switching. lol man do I feel dumb. This thing fly's pretty good for a beginner like me. I also will have a spare rx in my tool box thanks for all the help guys

After running a few packs before dinner I have come to the conclusion that I don't think I really had a problem from the start other than user error by not backing the throttle all the way down. I think air mode threw me off as well.
