Hello Quad Pilots!

I'm new in the hobby..
I finally got saved up enough money to buy my first:

Tanaris X-Lite receiver
iFlight Cinebee 75 HD (Bind and fly with XM+ Receiver)
Fatshark HDO
Rapidfire Module

that's what i got told would be a really good starter kit

Now the problem comes
in two days i've been trying to Bind the Drone with my Receiver without luck.

1. I turn on the controller put it in Bind mode.. it starts saying continuously "bib bib bib"
2. I got the XM+ receiver form frsky and i should hold in the tiny button while i apply power to the drone..
(when I do the following above i just get a Solid Green and red light)
So i have read that the problem should be that I dont have the same firmware on the receiver and the XM+

But nobody really has a solution for a beginner like me on this problem

how do i check what firmware there is on both

How do i change the firmware, and on which one?

Also do i need a S port cabel to do this?

Please help!

Welcome to the forum! To check the current firmware on your X-Lite, press the center of the main trim button then turn on the power switch. It's in bootloader mode and will show the current firmware. It should be firmware version 2.3 FCC. If it is, you're off to a good start and we can guide you through the XM+ firmware flashing.

Thank you :)
okay the version on my Xlite is version 2.2.3 LBT but i'm from Denmark so it's EU Lbt.

How do I check what firmware is on the XM+?

When i turn on for Bind mode in I get Green and red Solid Light on the XM+

Unfortunately there's no way to determine what firmware is on an FRSky receiver, however it's always good practice to reflash the firmware as there's a good chance it's not the most up-to-date. It's not a difficult process, certainly easier than updating the actual radio. Here's the go-to tutorial from Oscar Liang which explains everything there is to know about flashing FRSky products, he uses the R9D+, but the principal is the same.

Well then i should solder the XM+ out of my drone..
i'm not comfortable with that :(
I think it was way more easy to update the firmware on the Xlite
Could i go back on the Xlite to Version 2.2.2?
would that work?

or maybe there is a way to flash it trough the micro-usb port in the FC?
I would really like to avoid taking the drone apart :(

alright..

i will come back to this post
and upload some pictures of what I did.
because I think a lot of new pilots
are going to have this problem in the future

Thanks a lot for the help @RENOV8R

Cool, interested to see what you did. I'm assuming that you connected the XM+ to the x-Lite while still connected to the flight controller?

Before you do anything else.........If you have a solid light...plug the battery into the quad and push the button on the receiver one more time for a few seconds and you should have a :BLUE" led. Then try it . I'm assuming you have setup everything in Betaflight and have an arming switch.
