I found some time this weekend and trying to finish this 2" rebuild.
hglrc F420 stack (f4m3 FC, 4in1 BS20amp esc.
furious fpv mnova vtx
runcam micro swift
xm+ RX

so here's my question straight away...
I have the camera plugged to the vtx. all I want is vbat data.

the Mnova pins out like this..

rx tx 5v gnd
the new FC wants this:

suggestions on how best to approach this. its a 5v camera power source so wouldn't be sbat there.
do i have to run the camera off the FC to get sbat info.?

thanks for any input..

I have both the stack and that quad but not together. I love the f420 and had it in the Cerberus 3”mini56143372880__94D32491-A1A3-4D98-B78F-AA4E984C9D8C.jpg.

You can get the battery voltage from that bat pad for the vtx. The mirco is tough but i think it’s heavy for the 2” props. What KV motor are you using?

so I took out the O-rings "softmount" to make more room, screw it. the motors are soft mounted already.
The RX actually tucks up the back of the stack.. leaving a spot for the vtx on top of the stack. only the plug to the camera remains and the top comes off.
having a removable hood is important with cerberus builds.

figure out the proper vtx/camera/FC wiring and its ready to tune. I've tested all electronics with a smoke stopper each step. Im green so far... RX bound up fine. 4in1 is right.

cool, i have a new stack in box ready for the 3" rebuild.

2" motors are brother returner R3 1106-7100kv.
I've got a few dozen gemfan 2040-3blade I was running on the original build.

thanks droner! I saw the pad marked Bat and was hoping that was full volts. had planned on testing it, that should work.
thanks for the input and very cool flynocerous collection you have.

so do I put the TX wire from the VTX to the VTX pad on the flight controller? what to do with the RX wire from the vtx?

the original build flew awesome but ran hot.
origunal FC finally died after two replaced 4in1s.
I'm hopeful not to but i may loose the red hood to shed some weight (not now but later if its still running hot again). its been a while since its flown. this is last spring

dangit, just read the mnova is 5v so if thats a vbat pad i can't use it. ill have to run full power to the camera (5-30v) does the swift micro show vbat like a swift 2? maybe i source the camera power from that vtx Bat. pad and the vtx from the 5v camera pad?
thoughts?
