Fantail Entertainment in Los Angeles is casting for development of a series about competitive combat drones. We’re looking for small teams that build and fly drones - either as hobbyists or experts.
Think of the this series as an 8 team bracket elimination challenge. Each week, a drone team will be tasked with building a drone under some type of challenge conditions (limited materials or limited time or weight requirement, etc)
Then there are 2 primary challenges; speed and fighting.
• Each team races through our course - and the teams with the two slowest times have to fight.
• Loser of the fight is eliminated.
The key here is each team has to use the same drone for racing and fighting, so it's about finding the perfect balance of speed and strength. Or being so **** confident in your fighting drone you don't care how fast it goes in the race. Some "Bring it on....I'll see you in the ring" moments there.
Really the strength of the show though is going to be the characters. We are looking for compelling team members who can articulate their love for drones, the type of work they excel at, and have colorful personalities. Trash talk is certainly a bonus.
