I had been brainstorming all day yesterday on how to make the 2.0 version of the transmitter tray with the padded laptop tray and went to the garage for some ideas. Then I spied, with my little eye, this unused item on a shelf.
I bought it years ago, never used it and could not sell it to save my life. I took it apart and used the back piece. The telescoping handle may be used as a monitor mount in the future.
I collected the stary foam pads I had bought from harbor freight
The issue I had was how to keep the transmitter in its place aside from the pressure from the foam. The solution came from a magnetic phone mount and plate. Not overly strong, having no effect on the phone's performance, so I am unsure if it will impact the transmitter signal. (I still will use the lanyard from the harness as a precaution.
And it fits in the Chrome backpack I removed hardware from for the harness.
