Make sure you're in d8 mode and FULLY push the bind button. Sometimes it feels like it's pushed but it's really not

Most likely it was just the esc that blew, especially if the fc boots up. I would just replace the esc since you know for sure that's goofed up. You need it to check everything else for the most part

The wizard fc doesn't support osd, you could hook up the vsens of the camera (if it has one) and that'll display voltage. Otherwise itd be best to get a new fc

Nope, you can power esc solo, in fact you should do that before the motor anyways to make sure it's not shorted and smokes both the esc AND motor

The wizard was one of the first ones I got before custom builds, it's a great learner for sure. The computer side of all this can be a whole new learning experience and there's A LOT to learn. I highly suggest following Joshua Bardwell's betaflight setup video. As for the flight controller...

Any goggle will work with analog. Just stay away from wifi kwads and you're good. The remote will be usable to others too but you'll need matching receivers, but that's like that no matter what controller you get (except the jumper t16, that can pretty much bind to anything)
