I got introduced to fpv around 3 or 4 years ago when I saw a youtube video and I immediately knew what my new hobby was so I sold my xbox one and started looking for my first quad. I've have been hooked ever since.
I just fly casually and still have alot to learn before I'll have the piloting skills I would like to have but every week I notice little progression though.
This year I've gotten more serious about the flying part of the hobby and I try to get atleast get a few packs in most days before work although it doesn't always work out, theres definitely a couple days a week were I get to go through more then a few packs though.
I also enjoy the building aspect of this hobby even though I didnt have a clue about how to work on a quad nor had I ever even picked up a soldering iron prior to receiving the first quad I bought (well I mean the pieces to build it anyways) witch I will say wasn't as easy as I originally thought it would be but at that time i didn't understand that this is a serious hobby, were you need to put in the time to learn how it all works or you won't be flying anywhere anytime soon.
I now consider myself fairly competent when it comes to the physically building part of the hobby. Like most people who have been flying fpv for some time now I have built many quads aswell as having to rebuild many of those same quads after a miscalculation "one of the first builds I did only 30 seconds of airtime on it before a it was in three pieces on the ground, then back to the bench it went" but building the quad is part of the hobby I love almost as much as flying them!
