EV800 Goggles - at their limit?

Thanks for the detailed explanation, I was aware of those principles but I've never experienced it first hand with RF equipment. I'm going to assume there's something wrong with the goggles and move on to something else. Just not easy to find the issues in these tiny IC's without expensive equipment

EV800 Goggles - at their limit?

Looks like I made a typo as well. I meant the *800's in my previous comment. People are getting 4mi+ out of them so theres something wrong with my goggles it seems.

EV800 Goggles - at their limit?

I'm not talking about the EX100's...I have the EV100 and I was pondering the EV100D

EV800 Goggles - at their limit?

The ev800 is what I have, the 800D is diversity. If yours had two antennas it should of been the diversity version unless there was another one. Not sure I want to drop $700 lol

EV800 Goggles - at their limit?

Wow that's a lot. So with the EV100, non-diversity, right? What sort of range were you getting?

EV800 Goggles - at their limit?

That's pretty shitty. It's really that long? I'm also waiting for digital FPV to advance beyond dji (quite frankly, **** DJI), but in the mean time I want goggles with diversity that work well long range. What would that be?

EV800 Goggles - at their limit?

I'm considering just dropping the money on better goggles seeing that I'll be doing long range fpv in a week or two. I'd like to know what the issue is, but I'm thinking it's the goggles. All the solder pads are a-okay and everything that should measure zero resistance is measuring zero. Hard to...

EV800 Goggles - at their limit?

I'm going to assume standard "wifi" 5.8ghz antennas are linear, that was the original antenna and i got the rhcp clover below and noticed almost no difference, even after switching the babyhawk 4 r pro to the emax nano rhcp antenna (EMAX Nano 5.8GHz Antenna (RHCP - 90° MMCX)...

EV800 Goggles - at their limit?

I'm hoping to get some insight here after chasing FPV range issues with a pair of used EV800 goggles I purchased a few weeks ago. With larger quads I can get maybe 500' of range, and with smaller quads like a 4 inch babyhawk I get maybe 250'. A whoop only nets me around 100' of range. I...
