What if you fly manual with a decentered stick, like most of us here who acquired the fpv combo after flying home built quads for a while, but then decide to land or do anything else in normal? Is it easy to control the quad with a decentered stick? Or is it going to start descending/ascending...

Go to the Mavicpilots forum and talk to @sar104. He'll help you find the quad based on the dat files or die trying. Yeah, the guy's that awesome. He's helped countless pilots already. You'll get it back.

You honestly don't need that and they're not 100% reliable either (too sensitive sometimes). Just hook up your multimeter to the battery pigtail - red to red, black to black, settings to Ohm and if it shows anything above 3kOhm, you're golden, no shorts.

Can you reconnect the fc and the escs? If they still will make the initial five chimes (three initial for escs and the next two for the fc) that means that your esc might still be ok but the motors could be fried. Do you have another motor to test?

Can you still use the fancy home point crosshairs function, the pause button, return to home, auto land, the famous pause button and get all telemetry without the fly app? Is there any actual use to the app?

And it is free? That's really commendable. I don't have this quad nor do I intend on buying but I heard Russian hackers charge big bucks for those hacks. All the more power to you guys! I hope they buy you lots of cofees ;)

Plenty still buy the AU. I get it for LR applications. It simply offers better range and weight difference on a 7-10" is negligible.

That's exactly what PosHold is supposed to do. I never tried this functionality personally but I did test simple gps rescue in betaflight. You can be doing a power loop or an inverted corkscrew and when you hit that gps rescue button it will stop you dead in your tracks and use the gyro to right...
