Can confirm, DJI has twice charged me about $100 for repair and sent a NIB or reconditioned drone. I have two that I rotate through for repair time, and to have a second on the job if one goes down.

Perhaps this is due to the 0° In normal is adjusting for the tilt of the drone on the ground due to the difference in height between front and back legs, and the absolute 0° setting in manual. Perhaps?

Try smaller gaps at higher speeds and flying backwards. That should help you get those desired crash numbers.
